An RAF officer, chartered accountant and corporate financier who trained and worked with BDO and KPMG, Craig was headhunted into industry early in his career and has been an entrepreneur and CEO for the last 28 years. He has led multiple teams in the development of diverse and strategically successful business models through acquisition, buy and build and turnaround, as a service provider for venture capital investors, publicly listed companies and large banking institutions, before founding Wright Industries in 2011.
As a Non-Executive Director Jo brings to the Board 30 years’ experience as a former Corporate Restructuring Partner at major professional services firms, most recently BDO LLP. She has been an independent restructuring advisor with her own business De Novo Advisory Limited since 2013, supporting corporates and public institutions in complex stakeholder management situations. As well as guiding management teams through turbulent times, Jo facilitates on often delicate discussions with leading global financial institutions in relation to risk mitigation linked to financial restructurings. She was the first female to become a Fellow of the prestigious Institute for Turnaround (IFT) in 2019.
With an MEng in Manufacturing Engineering and ten years specialising in Additive Manufacturing technologies, Sophie has deep experience of the high-value manufacturing industry within SMEs, start-ups and consultancies. As Managing Director of Accura Engineering, Sophie leads the Mechanical Engineering division of the our portfolio. As Commercial Director of Wright Industries, she works across the portfolio, providing commercial and operational support to our current investments to improve performance and resolve complex operational challenges, as well as supporting the Wright Industries investment and acquisition strategy.
With over 20 years of experience of accountancy, financial control and M&A processes, Richard joined the Wright Industries team in 2013 and was one of the founding team members of the Connexion Technologies group. Initially leading the finance team as Finance Director of Custom Interconnect, Richard has played a leading role in each of the subsequent acquisitions and as Managing Director of Castle Microwave has overseen the growth of the business by 100% and moved the business into offering value-add engineering services.
In charge of launching The London Evening Standards Homes & Property newspaper in 1996 which was a huge success and still runs today. Moving out of London to Northamptonshire, Cherie took on a senior role as Account Executive at The Yell Group. She subsequently joined Wright Industries as a strategic customer development expert working across the portfolio, driving traditional & e-marketing customer relationship development strategies. She evolved multi-channel sales and marketing strategies; segmenting data, understanding audiences, creating engaging newsletters, digitalising and automating contacts whilst maintaining strong strategic customer relationships.
A proficient HR professional with 10 years’ experience within the Human Resources field currently studying a CIPD recognised Post Graduate Diploma in strategic people management. As the Lead HR Advisor for the portfolio, Rebecca’s focus is to formulate strategies that enhance business performance through a people centric approach. Guiding our wider management teams through complex employee relation matters whilst cultivating talent within our business to create a robust culture that ensures a ‘best practice’ approach is at the forefront of business decisions.
